Terms of Service

1. Provider and service
NorthDNS, operated by Andrea Lestingi and available at [email protected], provides tools for managing DNS zones, records, proxying, hosted email, and related functions. Available features depend on the plan assigned to each domain.
2. Accounts
You must provide a valid email address, protect your credentials and authentication devices, and promptly report unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and by collaborators you invite.
3. Acceptable use
You may use the service only for domains and systems you are authorised to manage. Abuse, fraud, malware, phishing, infringement, security circumvention, unlawful traffic, and activity that harms the platform or third parties are prohibited. We may restrict or suspend configurations that present a concrete risk or breach the law.
4. DNS and availability
DNS changes, delegation, and DNSSEC may require propagation and depend on external registrars, resolvers, and networks. Keep copies of important settings and verify changes. The status page reports observed component state and is not an availability guarantee.
Hosted email
Where enabled, NorthDNS provides mailbox storage and authenticated IMAP/SMTP access within the plan limits. You are responsible for mailbox users, passwords, message content and the lawfulness of what you send. Spam, unsolicited bulk sending, phishing, malware distribution and fraud through email are prohibited. NorthDNS may restrict sending, suspend a mailbox or block a domain in case of abuse or concrete risk, with notice where possible. Incoming spam is filtered automatically; attachments are not scanned by antivirus and are your responsibility. Messages stay in the mailbox until you delete it; no backup or recovery is guaranteed. Mailboxes and stored messages are permanently deleted when you confirm mailbox deletion. Delivery depends on recipients' external systems and is not guaranteed, and no specific availability level is promised. Data processing is described in the Privacy Policy.
Public demo
The public demo uses a shared account with sample data. Content entered there is visible to other visitors, is not published to DNS, and is deleted at the next reset. Do not enter personal or confidential data. The demo is provided as is and may be unavailable or reset at any time.
5. Plans and payments
Paid plans apply to the selected domain. Total price, currency, billing period, and included features are shown before checkout. Subscriptions renew for the same period until cancelled. Stripe processes payments; renewal can be disabled through the Stripe portal linked from billing.
Withdrawal and refunds
If you are a consumer, you may notify us of withdrawal within 14 days of entering the contract through Legal requests, without giving a reason. If you request immediate activation, a proportionate amount for service already supplied may be due where permitted by law. Cancelling renewal prevents future charges but does not automatically request a refund.
6. Content and intellectual property
You retain rights in your domains and settings. You grant NorthDNS only the technical permission needed to process them to provide the service. NorthDNS branding, software, copy, and graphics remain the property of their respective owners.
7. Liability
NorthDNS is liable within the limits of applicable law. Nothing excludes non-excludable liability or mandatory consumer rights. We are not responsible for outages caused by incorrect user settings or registrars, origins, and networks outside our control.
8. Suspension and closure
You may delete your account in settings after handling DNSSEC and active dependencies. We may suspend service for security, non-payment, or serious breaches, with notice where possible.
9. Law and contact
Italian law applies without limiting mandatory consumer rights under the law of your country. Contact [email protected] for disputes or requests.
