Proxy and tunnels

Proxy rules

Block, redirect or route proxied traffic by hostname, path, method, IP, country, continent, ASN and headers.

Conditions

A rule applies when the request matches the chosen conditions:

  • hostname (one or more, wildcards included);
  • exact path or path prefix;
  • HTTP method and scheme (http or https);
  • source IP or network;
  • client country, continent or ASN;
  • request headers.

Actions

  • Block: returns an error without contacting the origin.
  • Redirect: sends the client to another URL.
  • Forward: sends the request to a different backend.

Examples

  • Block /wp-admin for everyone except the office network.
  • Redirect /blog to another domain.
  • Route /api to a dedicated server.
  • Restrict a private area to selected countries.

Safety

Redirect targets and backends are validated: private or reserved addresses and unsafe URLs are not allowed.
