Acceptable use and abuse reports
Rules that apply to NorthDNS accounts, DNS, proxy and hosted email services.
Prohibited activity
You must not use NorthDNS for phishing, malware, botnets, fraud, spam, child exploitation, intentional intellectual-property infringement, unauthorised access, attacks, security circumvention, or unlawful content. You must not harm the availability, integrity, or reputation of our infrastructure or third parties.
Actions we may take
Reports are assessed according to credibility, urgency, available evidence, and impact. NorthDNS may ask for clarification, preserve evidence, restrict a configuration to prevent immediate harm, or forward a report to the relevant customer. Authority requests are handled under applicable law.
Email service rules
Hosted mailboxes must not be used for unsolicited bulk email, purchased lists, address harvesting, deceptive sender identities, open relays, credential collection, or attempts to evade recipient or reputation controls. Keep recipient consent and bounce handling appropriate to your use. NorthDNS may temporarily restrict sending when abuse, an abnormal volume, compromised credentials, or a reputation risk is detected.
